1. Jaguars dominated the Falcons in the trenches

I don’t think anyone is surprised that the Jaguars were able to out-muscle the Falcons in the trenches Saturday night, but nonetheless, it was still disappointing to see. Not only did Matt Ryan get sacked three times in two quarters, but Atlanta’s defensive-line was pushed around all night long.

Heck, it didn’t even matter whether the Falcons had their first or third team units in there, the Jags did whatever they wanted up-front.

The most encouraging thing we have to realize is that the Falcons were only down 10-6 heading into halftime. Not to mention, that was without players like Deion Jones, Ricardo Allen, Julio Jones, and Devonta Freeman. I’m not saying they would’ve solved Atlanta’s issues on the line of scrimmage, but they would’ve give the Dirty Birds a great shot at emerging victorious.

Sure, it stinks to watch the Falcons get dominated for the third-straight weekend, but there shouldn’t be an ounce of panic. This is a darn good football team and Dan Quinn will have his guys ready on Sept. 6 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
