All of a sudden, there are some concerns surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles following Week 3 of preseason in the 2018 NFL Power Rankings.

With three preseason games in the books, football fans only have to survive one more game before the real action gets underway in September, as Week 3 is officially in the books, meaning it’s also time for another round of 2018 NFL Power Rankings. Placing teams on a list like this in the preseason can be difficult since most teams tend to focus on their backups instead of the starters, but also Week 3 tends to be a dress rehearsal for most players on the first team.

As for the Philadelphia Eagles, well let’s just say Doug Pederson was hoping to use last week’s contest against the Cleveland Browns as a way to prepare Nick Foles for Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons in case Carson Wentz was unable to go. But instead of giving Doug Pederson and Eagles fans hope about filling in if needed, the Super Bowl MVP displayed a performance to forget after finishing the first half with three turnovers, and even tripped over his own feet in the end zone for a safety.

For obvious reasons, it’s tough to make a big deal over a performance like this one since it is only preseason, and Foles has plenty of time to turn things around while preparing if Philadelphia needs him under center for opening night. However, this disaster of a performance by the Eagles sure didn’t help the fan base feel confident about their chances heading into September, and as a result, the champions won’t be heading into the final week of preseason in the top spot for the rankings.
