24. Washington Redskins (25)

Never in a million years could anyone have imagined that Adrian Peterson would be suiting up for the Washington Redskins during the 2018 season, but here they are with the veteran running back coming off his first preseason game with the team. Workhorse is probably the best term to describe Peterson when looking at his NFL career, and while some thought he would be at a disadvantage joining the Redskins this late in the preseason, there doesn’t seem to be reason for concern.

After seeing Peterson rush for 56 yards on 11 carries in a game against the Denver Broncos with a well respected defense, the new Washington running back got off to a pretty solid start given the circumstances. Assuming he continues to get more comfortable each week, this could turn out to be a great addition for the Redskins to fill the void left by Derrius Guice when he suffered a torn ACL.

Plus, the most important factor about this signing by Washington is it will help take off some of the additional pressure off Alex Smith under center. Smith was already in for a challenge adjusting to his new team with a younger receiving corps, but at least now he can relate to Peterson from an experience perspective.
