2018 NFL Power Rankings: Concerns for Eagles following Week 3 preseason

26. Chicago Bears (31)
Matt Nagy was brought in board in the offseason with the intention of helping the Chicago Bears hit a new level on offense when looking at the success he had over the years with the Kansas City Chiefs. Based off the preseason so far, the Bears are quickly becoming one of those teams that many believe can make a surprise leap to a contender in the NFC with Mitch Trubisky under center.
The second-year quarterback didn’t play this past weekend when his team took on the Chiefs, but Nagy was still pleased with the results of the offense under Chase Daniel, who completed 15 of 18 passes for 198 yards with two touchdowns. And if that wasn’t impressive enough, it should also be noted that Daniel led Chicago in rushing yards (47) as well to make Nagy feel better about the backup situation if needed.
Heading into the offseason, the Bears realized the importance of upgrading their offense to help get the best from Trubisky since the receiving corps was pretty much a joke during his rookie season. This time around, however, Trubisky should benefit from key additions like Allen Robinson and Trey Burton to give Chicago a better chance of living up to the hype on the offensive side of the football.
