Seattle Seahawks: 5 Reasons they’ll make the playoffs in 2018

New players buy into Carroll’s message
The Seahawks locker room was beginning to come undone last season and it showed. Veteran players, like Sherman and Bennett, felt that the team was losing itself. Tensions, that dated back to the infamous play call that cost the Seahawks the chance to repeat as Super Bowl victors, grew between the players and their head coach.
Now, most of the players from that Super Bowl loss are gone or are keeping their distance (Thomas). This gives Carroll the perfect opportunity to establish the culture he wants in the locker room. He can also impart his own ideology onto his team with fewer disruptions or challenges to his way of doing things.
What’s important is that new players buy into Carroll and his philosophy as a way for the team to win. If the coach and the players aren’t on the same page then things just don’t run smoothly. Silly mistakes are made and they can cost teams games. Carroll is in charge and he’s going to raise the Lombardy again because he knows how to win. That’s what players need to believe and what the head coach needs to convey.
The trust between members of the Legion of Boom Seahawks and Carroll was broken. Now Carroll has another chance to establish a new trust and build up another Super Bowl contender.
