C.J. Prosise

Prosise was once viewed as a promising running back who might have become a starter. Thinks have changed a lot since then. After drafting Prosise in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft, they added Chris Carson in the seventh round of the 2017 draft. Carson showed far more potential then Prosise, who was stuck battling injuries. Now the team brought in Rashaad Penny in the first round of this year’s draft.

Prosise has been buried on the depth chart below more promising backs who have shown more ability in less time than him. Carroll has remained committed to keeping Prosise around, but it might be best for both parties if they part ways. For starters, Prosise isn’t becoming the starter in Seattle. He might not even get touches. If he really wants to earn money and get touches during the regular season, he’d be better off trying his luck with another team. And there are teams that need to add running backs.

But the final reason why Prosise is on the bubble is because of Mike Davis. Davis is a fourth year pro who was drafted in the fourth round by the San Francisco 49ers back in 2015. In the Preseason he’s had 15 rushing attempts as opposed to Prosise’s seven. It looks like Davis is in line to contribute on third downs, which means Prosise is out of luck.
