The Atlanta Falcons have expectations this year, as they are still seeking their first Lombardi trophy. Take a look at the team’s 2018 season preview here.

It seems like it’s been forever since the Atlanta Falcons last took the field in a meaningful football game, but that all changes on Sept. 6 when the Dirty Birds head north to face the Philadelphia Eagles. In case you’ve forgotten or blocked it from your memory, Philly was the team who beat the Falcons in the Divisional Round of last year’s NFC Playoffs.

Even though the Falcons 2017 season ended before their liking, we have to give them credit for making it back to the postseason, especially with how they lost the Super Bowl to New England several months prior. A double-digit win season is nothing to be ashamed of, but Dan Quinn’s birds definitely want more than that heading into 2018.

Just ask anyone, there is some seriously-high optimism surrounding this Falcons team. They are returning almost every starter from a year ago, along with adding some legit talent through the NFL Draft and NFL Free Agent market. If there was a team who looks the part of a Super Bowl champion right now, I would have to argue it’s these guys.

That said, take a look at the Falcons offensive and defensive previews, with an added record prediction at the very end.
