The final preseason game takes place on Thursday, and there are still players on the Dallas Cowboys roster who still have something prove.
The Dallas Cowboys are coming off a poor performance in Week 3 of the preseason, as mostly the reserves of the team just didn’t get the job done. That performance was just a really bad day for the Cowboys reserves, and it is time to move on because there is still something else left to prove for some players on the roster.
Neither of the reserve quarterbacks — Cooper Rush and Mike White — had their best outings this past Sunday night against the Arizona Cardinals, so with a short week this week, the two quarterbacks have less time to prepare to make a good showing in Thursday’s preseason finale against the Houston Texans.
There are also reserve members of the offensive line who still have something to prove, and the defense of the Cowboys has members on that depth chart who are battling for a roster spot and also need to prove some things to Jason Garrett and the coaching staff this week.
Since this is it for the preseason once the Cowboys and Texans kickoff Thursday night, here are three players with something to prove as the final roster spots are being determined.
