After a stellar 2017 season, 2018 is set to be a big year for the New Orleans Saints. Before then, there’s still a lot to talk about and look forward to.

In 2017, many doubted the New Orleans Saints. Not only did they trade one of their impact players, but were dealing with injuries. Additionally, their defense seemed as if it was at an all-time low. It was assumed things were going to continue on the same trend — the 7-9 trend.

However, the Saints had other plans and blew everyone away. It began with a stellar draft class including two Rookie of the Year winners: Marshon Lattimore and Alvin Kamara. Coupled with solid free agent pickups and improved play on both sides of the ball, the New Orleans Saints were dynamic.

No longer were they known for having a stellar offense and a horrid defense. In 2017, the offense and defense found their rhythm. As a unit, the Saints were a stronger team and it showed. The team made it to the playoffs for the first time in 4 years and proved they were a contender.

Sadly, the game ended with a bad defensive play, but it echoed the season perfectly. It was full of ups and downs, but they moved forward. Heading into 2018, the Saints are hoping to leave Minnesota behind and make their way to Atlanta in Super Bowl LIII.

The Saints still have to play their 16 regular-season games first. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves so here’s your look at the Saints in 2018. Hopefully, it is the start to a possible Super Bowl run, though!
