7. Devin White, LB, LSU

LSU has produced a number of great defensive prospects through the NFL Draft, and Devin White isn’t any different. White is a player that jumps off the screen and makes big plays all over the field. At 6-1, 240 pounds, White is “undersized” in terms of height, but he’s thickly built. There are times when he gets taken out of plays ,but it’s rare. White uses his arms to stack and shed effectively. He does a great job pressing the line and tracking the ball carrier.

Additionally, he keeps his eyes up and feet clean when working through trash. His bulky frame comes with surprising athleticism. He’s a lighting rod with excellent quickness and range, making him an elite sideline-to-sideline defender. He’s very aggressive and restless with a non-stop motor and energy that pumps up his teammates. That range, aggressiveness and motor allowed him to rack up 133 tackles, including 13.5 tackles for loss last season.

Moreover, he’s an effective blizter who uses his power to bull rush and understands how to get skinny. When asked to move in space, he looks fluid and loose hipped and covers his zone really well. He had one interception and three pass defended in 2017. White has a chance to come into the NFL and dominate immediately.
