The Miami Dolphins face the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 30 in NFL Preseason Week 4. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
The final week of the 2018 NFL preseason has finally arrived, and that will set up a date between the Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Thursday. Of course, this is Week 4 of the preseason, and that means that it’s time to rest the key players for both teams. However, that won’t stop us from talking about the prospects for each team.
When it comes to the Dolphins, they’re a team looking to rebound after a forgettable 2017 campaign. They had to suffer the season without starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Then, this offseason, they worked to change the culture in Miami by shipping out potentially bad eggs like Ndamukong Suh and Jarvis Landry. As such, the hope is that head coach Adam Gase can help get this team headed back in the right direction.
As for the Falcons, they too would like to do better than they did last season. Fresh off their heartbreaking Super Bowl LI appearance, they still made the playoffs. However, Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and company appeared as a lesser version of themselves. Subsequently, the hope is that offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian can reignite the offense as head coach Dan Quinn gets this defense to take a step forward.

Obviously we won’t see really any of the starters for either the Falcons or the Dolphins on Thursday night. The final game of the preseason is mostly about guys trying to just earn a spot on the 53-man roster. Even still, it will be interesting to see how the final stages of these battles play out.
