It’s Week 4 of the preseason, and that means one thing for players on the New York Jets: Players on the bubble earn roster spots tonight.

The Philadelphia Eagles come to MetLife Stadium for the annual fourth week of the preseason tilt with the New York Jets. Typically in this game you will see a lot of non-starters, because this game is for guys on the roster bubble.

On this Jets team there are plenty. So, we should expect a rotation of players who we will likely not see come Sept. 10 at Ford Field.

However, players can play well enough in this game to earn a spot at the back of the roster, on special teams, or even the practice squad. So this game is important. Let’s examine who this game is important for.

3. Players either suspended or likely to be

Cornerback Rashard Robinson and wide receiver ArDarius Stewart are already facing suspension once the season begins, and linebacker Dylan Donahue probably will face a suspension following to DWI guilty pleas.

All three of these players will have to do something special in this game to warrant a roster spot, because facing suspension early negatively effects team chemistry in the long-run.
