It’s time to take a look at one roster cut from each team that should happen for the NFL 2018 season, but won’t

This weekend, all 32 teams will be trimming down their roster to 53 players before the deadline, as they look to evaluate which players will give the best chance of competing for the NFL 2018 season since the start of Week 1 is right around the corner. From potential impact players being complete busts to other individuals emerging out of nowhere to make a case, this time of year is always exciting to see what the final roster spots always look like for NFL teams, especially with all of the major surprises.

However, as much excitement as there is this time of year, roster cuts also bring out the frustration for some fan bases when looking at some of the players their beloved teams decide to keep around, whether it involves contract situations or simply not wanting to give up on them yet. Take a look at the Chicago Bears for example with Kevin White, who was considered one of the top receivers from the 2015 NFL Draft, but has struggled to live up to the hype as a result of numerous injuries over the years.

After declining his fifth-year option for obvious reasons when looking at his lack of impact from over the years, whether it was his fault or not, White is one of those players that has been frustrating to follow at times for Bears fans. And while the argument can be made that Chicago could easily be done with him after this upcoming season if things fail to work out, the team needs to strongly consider if he’s worth using a roster spot for.

Sadly, a lot of teams have a player like White where a strong case can be made they deserve to be cut before Saturday’s deadline, but will most likely continue to be on the roster, which is why it only seemed fair to conduct a list of candidates from each team. So in honor of this year’s deadline to trim rosters down to 53 players, here’s a look at the top candidate from each team that arguably deserves to be cut, yet will probably end up catching another break.
