Minnesota Vikings: Kendall Wright

Kirk Cousins entered the offseason with the intention of signing with a team in need of help at the quarterback position, but the Minnesota Vikings decided to pull off a surprise by moving on from Case Keenum to clear the way for the former Michigan State star. After all of the frustration of playing under the franchise tag with the Washington Redskins, Cousins finally received the hefty contract he spent years fighting for, and when looking at the offense he gets to work with, the sky seems to be the limit for the new Vikings quarterback.

Between a speedster in Stefon Diggs to a reliable catcher in Adam Thielen, Minnesota hopes to see Cousins take complete advantage of all the talent he gets to work with on offense. Even beyond Diggs and Thielen, the Vikings have plenty of great talent at the wide receiver position to help make life much easier for Cousins under center.

Does that mean Kendall Wright deserves to be part of the conversation of talented receivers for Cousins to work with? Wright’s preseason can be described as decent at best, and let’s just say there’s a reason why the former first-round pick has struggled to live up to the hype over the last six years.
