Pittsburgh Steelers: Eli Rogers

On paper, the Pittsburgh Steelers are always considered one of the early favorites to have one of the top offenses entering a new season, and rightfully so when looking at the weapons Ben Roethlisberger has to work with. What makes this situation for Big Ben even better is the fact that beyond players like Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown, the Steelers are still loaded with talent at the wide receiver position.

From JuJu Smith-Schuster to Justin Hunter, most quarterbacks would love to be in the position that Roethlisberger finds himself in, and if Pittsburgh ends up leading the league in scoring, nobody would be all that surprised. However, even the best of offenses have a few players they could do without, and when it comes to the Steelers, Eli Rogers appears to be a likely candidate.

Between coming off a torn ACL injury to dealing with a one-game suspension, there are a lot of negative factors towards Rogers that would make most teams want to avoid someone like him at all costs. There have been numerous occasions since 2016 when Rodgers has shown off his playmaking ability by exploding past defenders, but at some point the Steelers just need to realize his roster spot could be better off with someone else.
