Cleveland Browns: Duke Johnson Jr.

Believe it or not, the Cleveland Browns are being viewed as a team that could end up pulling off a few tricks during the 2018 season, and actually cause some problems for the rest of the teams in the AFC thanks to improvements on both sides of the football. This may sound crazy to consider when looking at how this team has won just a single game since 2016, but also with a 1-31 record over the last two years, the Browns can only move up from here.

Only time will tell when it comes to whether Hue Jackson will go with Tyrod Taylor or Baker Mayfield under center for Week 1, but no matter who ends up winning the job, at least they’re going to have strong support from the backfield. Not only did the Browns come up big in free agency by signing Carlos Hyde, but the team also landed one of the top running backs in the draft from this year’s class in Nick Chubb.

Over the last three years, Duke Johnson Jr. has received plenty of opportunities to make a name for himself as a top running back in Cleveland’s offense, and with the other two players now in the mix, the once Miami star may end up losing a ton of carries in 2018. Having extra running backs can work wonders for offenses, but Johnson seems like a player the Browns are just wasting their time on.
