The Chicago Bears played the Buffalo Bills in their final preseason game. With certain guys playing for their career, we go over three takeaways from the game.

Well, this is it. The 2018 Chicago Bears preseason is over. The team played five games. After dropping the first two, they went on to win two but lost this last one. Wins and losses aren’t a priority, however.

In the last game, the starters don’t play. Those playing for a roster spot or a starting job get a longer look by the coaches. They have their final audition either for the Bears or for 31 other teams.

Now some of those players wait until Saturday’s 4:00 p.m. ET deadline for the final rosters to be submitted. There will be some surprise cuts (as there are every season).

In order to get to there, however, we need to analyze what happened on Thursday night. While we didn’t get the excitement of watching the starters, we saw some guys play with desperation. When that happens, we see some plays. That was the case in this game. There were certain players on the bubble who came through and inched closer to making the team.

Here are three takeaways from the Chicago Bears’ final preseason game.
