The Dallas Cowboys depth has been a question all offseason. With a chance to silence some doubts, these three players ended up disappointing in Preseason Week 4

Expectations for the Dallas Cowboys in 2018 are all over the place. They’re 22-10 in the past two seasons with quarterback Dak Prescott under center, but he struggled in the second half of 2017 as they just missed the playoffs.

Heading into a crucial third season, Prescott looks to silence his critics. Those doubters believe the Dak who struggled last year is the player he will continue to be — and therefore, they expect this season to go poorly for America’s Team.

His supporters believe he’s still the guy who led them to a 13-3 record as a rookie. His struggles in year two are said to be the result of Ezekiel Elliott being suspended and injuries to left tackle Tyron Smith. This group believes 2018 will be a success.

Hurting those chances though is the fact Dallas is already dealing with injuries, including a couple on the offensive line. These injuries are again highlighting the lack of depth on this roster at key positions.

Preseason Week 4 was a great opportunity for some young guys to prove the depth concerns weren’t necessary. That’s not how things went down though as Dallas came out flat in a game dominated by backups.

Here we will look at three players who really disappointed in this final exhibition game.
