Here are 20 bold predictions to consider for teams before Saturday’s deadline of trimming down the roster to 53 players before Week 1 of the 2018 NFL season.

As hard as it is to believe, the preseason for the NFL 2018 season is officially in the books, and before Week 1 arrives, all 32 teams have plenty of work to do this upcoming weekend when it comes to trimming the roster down to 53 players. While most teams already know which players are an absolute lock to make the roster, there are still a handful of individuals that will be sweating it out over the next day or so before finding out their fate before Saturday’s deadline.

Take Robert Griffin III for instance, as the quarterback was beyond thrilled to find a home this offseason with the Baltimore Ravens as a backup to Joe Flacco, only to see the team eventually select former Louisville star Lamar Jackson in the draft. Clearly, the Ravens never would have selected Jackson with a first rounder if they didn’t believe the potential was there for him to be the successor to Flacco when the time comes, which means bad news for Griffin since he was kind of hoping for the same.

Only time will tell when it comes to whether Griffin ends up being the odd man out in Baltimore or if the team decides to keep him around since he has the experience advantage over the rookie at the moment. But for now, let’s take a look at 20 bold predictions for the final roster cuts taking this weekend, including what football fans should expect from the decision involving RGIII and the Ravens.
