Moving to the other side of the ball, the Saints offense is always hyped up. Mostly, it was due to them having one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Before 2017, it was all about how good Brees’ arm was or the plethora of receiver he had. That all changed when the team drafted running back Alvin Kamara.

At first, it seemed like Kamara was the third man behind Mark Ingram and Adrian Peterson. A few games later, Peterson was gone while Kamara and Ingram were splitting carries. At the end of his rookie year, Kamara rushed for a little over 700 yards and won Offensive Rookie of the Year.

With Ingram now suspended for the first four games of 2018, it’s time for Kamara to step up. In his second season, I see Kamara rushing for at least 1,000 yards. He’s already got an edge over his backup and Ingram. If he can keep his production as consistent as last season, he should be on his way to a 1,000-yard season.

Considering how quickly the Saints shifted their offense, Kamara has the world in his hands. Kamara was only around 300 yards off and with Ingram for four games, he’s going to be a lot of those carries. With his dual role as a receiver though, there’s no telling how many yards he’ll finish with.
