2. Drew Brees wins the NFL MVP award

While Drew Brees has been the Saints main force on offense, he took a backseat in 2017. Most of the hype was around Alvin Kamara and rightfully so. However, Brees did have an incredible season including 23 touchdowns to 8 interceptions, almost 4,500 passing yards and a ticket to the playoffs.

He might not have an MVP-caliber season, but it was decent. In 2018, I look for Brees to step up his game even more. Even with the offense favoring the run, Brees has embraced his new role while still making risky yet necessary plays. At age 39, it’s only fair to assume Brees has a few years left playing.

That’s why in 2018, he’s going to be named the league MVP. He’s going to throw for at least 5,000 yards, over 30 touchdowns and utilize some of their new additions to the offense. It’s a high honor but one Brees has worked for and one that he rightfully deserves.

2018 is going to the year for the Saints, but mostly, Brees. He just signed a two-year contract and he’s not going to waste time. He didn’t get the recognition last year but he will in 2018.
