22. Dallas Cowboys (19)
To say the Dallas Cowboys are beyond thankful the last couple of games were only preseason is a major understatement, as this team failed to win a single game while seeming to have more questions than actual answers for what’s in store for 2018. The pressure was already on the Cowboys to return to the level of being a top contender in the NFC when taking into considering they finished with the best record in the conference in 2016, but with certain players no longer around, the pressure is even higher.
While the argument can be made that Dez Bryant is easier to replace since his production has been on the decline anyway, Jason Witten has always been a one of a kind tight end, and his leadership is arguably irreplaceable. Dak Prescott will obviously benefit from having one of the league’s top running backs in Ezekiel Elliott, but when it comes to his receiving corps, well let’s just say even the Dallas quarterback doesn’t know what to expect.
The Cowboys were hoping to use the preseason to determine which players were worthy of standing out at receiver, but it doesn’t look like they have a clear No. 1 heading into next weekend. Prescott took a step back last season after an impressive rookie campaign in 2016, and if he fails to see any of his teammates step up in the passing game, it could be a long year.
