28. Washington Redskins (24)

What an offseason it’s been for the Washington Redskins when looking at all of the adjustments this team has been forced to deal with over the last couple of months, ranging from acquiring Alex Smith in a trade to signing Adrian Peterson after losing Derrius Guice for the year. Early on in the offseason, the Redskins seemed to have a pretty good idea that Kirk Cousins would eventually be on his way out, and while Smith seems like a good fit for the mean time, the veteran quarterback will be experiencing some adjustments as well.

For example, when looking at the weapons Smith got to work with over the last couple of years as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs, the young receivers he will now work with in Washington seem to be a work in progress. At least with Smith on board, Washington should feel better enough about the possibility of their new quarterback helping bring out the best in the receiving corps.

Plus, with Peterson motivated more than ever to prove he can still be a top running back in the NFL, this will help take some of the pressure off Smith under center. The Redskins have a long way to go when it comes to competing in the NFC, but at least Smith and Peterson will give them a fighting chance.
