The Dallas Cowboys kick off the 2018 NFL season against the Carolina Panthers. Here are three key players to watch in their opening game.
Week 1 of the 2018 NFL season is finally here. All the noise and talk about what can, or will happen fades as the Dallas Cowboys kick their season off. No more talk, just actual, real football action. Their first game takes place in Charlotte as the Cowboys will play against the Carolina Panthers. A playoff team in 2017, the Panthers offers a tough task for Dallas on either side of the ball.
Offensively, the Panthers are strong in all areas of the game. The running game is improved with running back Christian McCaffrey and Cam Newton is always a monster on the ground and throwing the ball.
Defensively, Carolina is always a team that makes you work for every inch of ground. It’s going to be an incredible test for the Cowboys and a great thermometer for fans wondering what this new football year will bring.
Will we see Dallas once again become a contending franchise? Or will they struggle against some of the best in the NFL? All the answers won’t be there after Week 1, but we can get a better picture of who this team is.
When trying to figure that out, we know players like Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott will be huge, but let’s look past those guys and check out three players who we need to keep an eye on during the Cowboys opener.
