RB1: Kareem Hunt, Kansas City Chiefs, $8,000

Average FanDuel Points Per Week: 16.8
Opponent: Los Angeles Chargers

If there’s one piece of the Kansas City Chiefs offense you should be able to rely on this season, it’s Kareem Hunt. The sophomore running back was a revelation a year ago, going from fourth-round pick to rising superstar. After winning the 2017 rushing title, we should see even more sparks fly in 2018.

The Los Angeles Chargers aren’t a terrible team, but their run defense was a mess a season ago. Even with players like Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram along the defensive front, look for Hunt to put the Los Angeles defense in check with a big game on the ground.

RB2: Alex Collins, Baltimore Ravens, $6,700

Average FanDuel Points Per Week: 10.6
Opponent: Buffalo Bills

One of the most underrated and overlooked running backs from a season ago, Alex Collins was a pleasant surprise for the Baltimore Ravens. Racking up nearly 1,000 yards, he averaged 4.6 yards per carry and found the end zone six times. Now in command of the Baltimore ground game, expect even bigger numbers from Collins in 2018.

A matchup with the Buffalo Bills will only help Collins’ case in Week 1. The defense lacks any talent worth sweating over, especially at linebacker. Buffalo struggled to slow the run all last season, and I don’t expect much to change in 2018. That could mean big things for Collins on Sunday.

Other top options: David Johnson, Arizona Cardinals, $8,600; Joe Mixon, Cincinnati Bengals, $6,900
