TE: Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings, $5,900

Average FanDuel Points Per Week: 8.1
Opponent: San Francisco 49ers

It could be a big year for Kyle Rudolph, the Minnesota Vikings’ outstanding tight end. Not only is he now catching from a quarterback who loves throwing to his tight ends, but he has the benefit of playing for John DeFilippo, the Vikings’ new offensive coordinator.

During his time in the NFL, DeFilippo has had a knack for making tight ends a big part of his offenses. Just look back at his last gig for evidence of this. Last season with the Philadelphia Eagles, Zach Ertz and Trey Burton were huge parts of the game plan, with the former leading the team in receptions and receiving yards.

Rudolph may not be quite as good as Ertz, but he’s still one of the NFL’s best. With a big, powerful frame, reliable hands and a knack for finding holes in the secondary, he should provide Kirk Cousins with a dependable presence in the passing game.

Against the San Francisco 49ers’ average defense devoid of Reuben Foster, Rudolph could have a field day. Look for him to put their young linebackers and safeties to the test, potentially putting on a show for the Vikings offense.

Other top options: Benjamin Watson, New Orleans Saints, $4,900; Mike Gesicki, Miami Dolphins, $4,700
