2018 NFL Picks, score predictions for Week 1
Buffalo Bills (0-0) at Baltimore Ravens (0-0)
Sunday, Sept. 9, 1 PM ET
It’s going to be a bad year for the Buffalo Bills. The offense lacks any proven weapons outside of LeSean McCoy, who isn’t getting any younger. Especially with Nathan Peterman starting at quarterback, it’s going to be a bumpy ride for the passing game.
The defense may be a bit better, but is still far from a proven bunch. There’s a general lack of talent across the board that is going to keep the Bills from winning games at a consistent clip this season.
Meanwhile, the Baltimore Ravens appear to be a team on the rise. Although I’m still concerned about Joe Flacco starting under center, the addition of Lamar Jackson seems to have lit a fire under him. I’m expecting big things from Alex Collins this year, who flashed serious upside as the top dog in the ground game a season ago. Plus, there are more weapons in the passing game for Baltimore to take advantage of.
Between their budding offense and underrated defense, the Ravens should walk away with the W without too much trouble. If you’re hoping for big fantasy points from any Bills players, you may want to come up with a Plan B before finalizing your Week 1 lineup.
Prediction: Ravens win 31-10
