Teams usually will only go as far as their signal-caller can take them, so we look at who is set up to win with these 2018 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings
The 2018 NFL Regular Season is finally about to get started, after a long offseason — which seemed like it would never end. One thing that we know about the coming season, and any NFL season really, is that the team will only go as far as the quarterback will take them.
Now, this isn’t trying to perpetuate the myth that only elite quarterbacks can win a Super Bowl — that has been disproven many times. Players like Joe Flacco, Eli Manning, and even Nick Foles in this past Super Bowl have all earned rings.
None of those guys are elite. Not even remotely. What they are, however, is capable players who understand how to read a defense and make the right throws.
Football is the ultimate team goal and no one can win it on their own. Without that capable player guiding the offense, no one can win at all.
With all that being said, we take the temperature of each team in the NFL at the most important position with this Week 1 2018 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings.
