Falcons vs. Eagles live stream, Week 1: Watch NFL online
The Atlanta Falcons face the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, Sept. 6 in Week 1 of the 2018 NFL season, opening up the year at Lincoln Financial Field.
NFL football will finally be in our lives in a meaningful way once again on Thursday night. The defending champion Philadelphia Eagles will welcome the Atlanta Falcons to Lincoln Financial Field for a rematch of the Divisional Round in last year’s playoffs. And, frankly, there’s not a whole lot that has changed for both the Falcons and Eagles since that time.
For the Eagles, they are still waiting on star quarterback Carson Wentz to 100 percent recover from the torn ACL he suffered at the end of last year. Subsequently, Nick Foles — who did win this team a Super Bowl — will be the starting quarterback in Week 1. With Alshon Jeffery also out though, this Philly team might need to rely heavily on their defense to find success on Thursday.
Then there’s the Falcons, who are running it back with Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Devonta Freeman and the generally same host of weapons. Perhaps the biggest addition, though, is rookie wide receiver Calvin Ridley. Pairing the first-round pick with Jones in the offense could make for a lethal duo. That is, of course, if Steve Sarkisian can coach the unit better than he did a season ago.
Details for Thursday’s game are below:

The Eagles went through the entirety of the postseason and even took down the mighty Patriots last season with Foles at the helm. Having said that, this feels like a new year in that regard and the Falcons are surely hungry for a little bit of revenge. As such, we could see a different outcome to kick off the 2018 season.
