In honor of the NFL 2018 season getting underway this week, here is one bold prediction to consider for all 32 teams.
With the preseason officially in the books for the NFL 2018 season, Week 1 has finally arrived as the Philadelphia Eagles will kick off the new season at home in a rematch from the Divisional Round last January against the Atlanta Falcons. All eyes will be on whether Nick Foles has what it takes to pick up where he left off last February by filling in for Carson Wentz until he’s fully healthy and ready to go, but the Eagles aren’t the only team in the NFL facing high expectations for the upcoming season.
Take a look at the Los Angeles Rams for instance after Sean McVay’s team emerged out of nowhere last year to win the NFC West, and has even higher expectations for 2018 when looking at the offseason this team has put together. It was one thing to improve the defensive side of the football by signing Ndmaukong Suh along with landing a new duo at cornerback in Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters, but the Rams hope to see Jared Goff reach a whole new level with another dangerous weapon to work with in Brandin Cooks.
The former California star was already fortunate enough to be part of an offense loaded with talent, but the addition of a speedster in Cooks should benefit Goff right away, and could even result in him topping his Pro Bowl numbers from the 2017 season.
Seeing Los Angeles become this strong of a contender so fast under McVay has been quite amazing to witness, and Goff will play a major role in whether the team can live up to expectations. Along with what to expect from Goff and the Rams, here are bold predictions for every other team in the NFL as well heading into the start of the new season.
