The 2018 NFL Season is set to kick off, but that doesn’t mean we can’t look ahead with this 2019 NFL Mock Draft with some surprise quarterback selections

The long grind of the 2018 season is finally about to begin. The long offseason is over and the games once again count in the standings, so it’s only natural that we start looking ahead with a 2019 NFL Mock Draft, right?

All kidding aside, each and every game we watch gives us a glimpse of where our favorite teams stand. Do they have the quality starters in the key positions to win? Do they have the depth to overcome injuries?

Depth is surely a key, which was proven last year. The two teams that met in the NFL Championship game were the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings. Each team was missing their starting quarterback from Week 1.

Case Keenum was under center for the Vikings as he replaced Sam Bradford early in the year due to a knee injury. For Philly, Carson Wentz was sidelined with a torn ACL and Nick Foles led their Eagles to not only a win over Minnesota but also in the Superbowl.

So whether or not your team needs depth or a key weapon to become a new leader for the franchise, it’s always fun keeping an eye on the future and how they can become even better in the future.

With all that being said, we give you a Week 1 2019 NFL Mock Draft. As a side note, the order in this draft was determined using our most recent 2019 NFL Power Rankings.
