Here are five teams on upset alert heading into Week 1 of the 2018 NFL season.

It’s hard to believe that after a month filled with plenty of preseason action, Week 1 of the NFL 2018 season has finally arrived, as the Philadelphia Eagles will help start the new year off at home against the Atlanta Falcons. And while all eyes will be on what will hopefully turn into an epic rematch from the Divisional Round last January, this may not compare to some of the upsets that could be in store over the weekend and Monday.

There’s a popular saying about how there are no guarantees in the NFL when it comes to winning games, and no matter where teams stand heading into certain weeks, it’s important to take every game seriously. For example, the Pittsburgh Steelers seem like they have one of the most favorable matchups from Week 1 against a team with just one win over the last two years in the Cleveland Browns, but this game has potential upset written all over it.

Believe it or not, the Browns are considered a team by many that has the chance to end up being one of the biggest surprises during the 2018 season when looking at some of the key players that have been added to both sides of the football, meaning the Steelers could be in trouble. Along with Pittsburgh facing a tough battle on the road in Cleveland, here are a few other teams that should consider themselves on upset alert heading into Week 1 that will be looking to avoid any potential scare.
