1. It Will Be Sloppy But the Eagles Will Win

With the prediction of Foles struggling and the Eagles Defense thriving expect the game to be low scoring. It’s common for teams to look rusty and sloppy in their first game of the season, even two veteran led teams like the Eagles and Falcons. It doesn’t take long for teams to realize that one season can be completely different from the previous one, and Week 1 is usually when teams come to that realization.

For the Eagles to win they’ll have to focus on their defense and running game. Behind the trio of Jay Ajayi, Darren Sproles and Corey Clement the Eagles should be able to control the clock and possession with their ground game. Plus, it will be impossible to ignore the energy that will be in South Philadelphia Thursday Night. The energy that the Eagles feed off the crowd will be enough to give them advantage in this opening game.

Expect this game to look a lot like the one that happened between both of these teams back in January. It won’t look pretty for the Eagles, but they’ll find a way to win. Sometimes there is no great explanation other than the fact that they’re the defending Super Bowl champions and that things are going their way. Expect the champs to keep the hot streak going!
