The Minnesota Vikings kick off their 2018 NFL Season with a home game against the San Francisco 49ers. Here are three players to keep an eye on in that game.

Week 1 brings fans an intriguing matchup as the Minnesota Vikings host the San Francisco 49ers. Each team has a different quarterback under center than they started with to kick off the 2017 season. For the 49ers, it’s Jimmy Garoppolo — who they traded for at the deadline.

Garoppolo was supposed to have a former Viking with him as San Francisco gave running back Jerick McKinnon a big contract in the offseason. Unfortunately, he suffered a torn ACL and won’t be able to face his old team.

For Minnesota, it’s the Kirk Cousins era as their own prized free agent signing gets his first start for the Vikings. He takes over a team that went 13-3 last season and just missed playing in the same Super Bowl they were hosting — a feat that’s never been accomplished.
