The Kansas City Chiefs face the Los Angeles Chargers at the StubHub Center on Sunday, Sept. 9. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Last season the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers started the season out on completely different streaks. Kansas City won their first five games whereas the Chargers lost their first four. From there, things changed drastically.
Kansas City finished the rest of the year with a 5-6 record and Los Angeles went 9-3 after their terrible start. The AFC West surprisingly became a close race and the Chiefs ended up winning it by just one game with their 10-6 record trumping the Bolts 9-7 mark.
This year, Los Angeles hopes to get off to a better start. The slow Septembers have become a theme for them and if they want to make the postseason this year, they have to find a way to buck that trend. It would be beneficial to do so against the reigning AFC West champs.
For Kansas City, they’ve turned the offense over to quarterback Patrick Mahomes this season after five seasons with Alex Smith as their quarterback. The second-year pro was exciting to watch in the preseason as he showed off his rocket arm in an offense that features speedsters Sammy Watkins and Tyreek Hill.
Here’s all the info you need to catch Sunday’s big AFC West matchup.

Los Angeles is without their star pass rusher Joey Bosa, which give the Chiefs a bit of an advantage in this one. It would have been fun to see Bosa going after Mahomes, but that showdown between the young superstars will have to wait.
