The Dallas Cowboys face the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 9. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

This Sunday will be the first meaningful game in the 2018 NFL Season for the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys. The two franchises will meet up in Charlotte, North Carolina in an NFC matchup — one that could have playoff implications down the road.

In 2017, both teams finished with winning records. Carolina wound up 11-5 and in the playoffs thanks to a Wild Card berth. Dallas was in the Wild Card chase before a late-season slump but still finished 9-7.

They both also hope to have fixed areas of concern from last year.

For Carolina, there weren’t enough pass catchers for quarterback Cam Newton to get the ball to. Using a first-round pick on D.J Moore out of Maryland may have resolved this issue. In addition to him, veteran Torrey Smith was added to join Greg Olsen and Devin Funchess.

Those players will test a Dallas secondary that’s aided by a new assistant coach in Kris Richard. His addition is supposed to clean up areas of weakness on the back end of the Dallas secondary.

Their real issue though was in the depth of their offensive line. Adding second-round pick Connor Williams out of Texas could help, but there will be an early test as Joe Looney gets the start as Travis Frederick is not cleared to play yet.

It should be a tight contest as the league brings us two big names in Week 1. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Each team wants to get off on the right foot not only due to being in tough divisions, but they could use this head-to-head win if things get cluttered for a Wild Card spot later.
