The Jacksonville Jaguars face the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 9. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
When the 2017 NFL Season started, not many expected the Jacksonville Jaguars would make their conference championship game. Even less expected the New York Giants to have a season that ended with them picking second in the following NFL Draft.
Hardly anyone had both those things happening.
Jacksonville seemed like the constant dark horse team with everyone thinking they would finally break out, Year after year, they responded to the preseason hype by putting up double-digit loses. In 2017 though, they found a way to win 10 games and then missed out on the Super Bowl by less than a touchdown.
This year, they look to pick up where they left off and their first test is to travel to New Jersey and take on the Giants.
For the G-Men, they’re ready to roll with new head coach Pat Shurmur and No. 2 overall pick Saquon Barkley. The Penn State product should take a lot of pressure off Eli Manning and Odell Beckham, Jr. — who have had to manufacture the offense in New York without a strong running game for years. His first game will be against one of the best defenses in the NFL, which makes it strength vs. strength.
