The Seattle Seahawks face the Denver Broncos at Broncos Stadium at Mile High on Sunday, Sept. 9. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
In that meeting, the Broncos were led by future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning and the Seahawks were a force on defense with their best players being guys like Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor.
While Denver has been without Manning for a couple seasons now, Sunday will be the first game that Sherman and Chancellor are both officially not on the Seattle roster.
The defensively dominate Seahawks took a hit this offseason when Chancellor, and defensive end Cliff Avril, both had to leave the game for health concerns. They also released Richard Sherman and traded Michael Bennett.
All the moves mean this team goes as Russell Wilson goes. In this game, he will have to step up as they’re facing a strong Denver defense.
Von Miller has his best pass rushing partner since DeMarcus Ware retired, which could keep the Broncos in contention once again. They also will start the season with a new quarterback after picking up Case Keenum in the offseason — and officially giving up on Paxton Lynch.
Here are the details for Sunday’s game.
An interconference matchup kicks off the season for these two teams. Seattle tries to answer questions about their defense, while Denver aims to prove Keenum can give their offense a much-needed shot in the arm.
