While not a finished product, this is a great offense

As I mentioned, Nagy threw everything at the Packers on the first drive. He had a three-man backfield and he used Charles Leno Jr as a receiver. Mitch Trubisky completed passes to Allen Robinson, Tarik Cohen, and Jordan Howard. The Packers defense looked dazed and confused in the first half.

While the offense started out dynamic, it stunted a little before halftime. I don’t know if the players relaxed or the Packers just figured things out but they found it difficult to pick up first downs. While Rodgers made play after play, the Bears had too many three-and-outs.

This was a tough loss, yes, but there is some hope for this offense. Once they get the kinks worked out this will be a dynamic, fun offense to watch. There are many options in this offense and when Trubisky gets more comfortable the offense will run like a well-oiled machine.

It was great to see Jordan Howard so well. In addition to his 82 yards on the ground, he had five catches for 25 yards. If he shows continued improvement as a receiver this will be a tough offense to defend.

Yes, there are wrinkles to smooth out, but this is an offense that has many options to run through. This is something we haven’t seen in Chicago for a long time. It looked pretty good on Sunday, but it will be better as the season progresses.
