30. Indianapolis Colts (30)

Andrew Luck was back after a year off and more than a year and a half without throwing the ball. He had shoulder surgery in January of 2017 and it wasn’t until this summer that Luck was feeling good enough to throw a ball. The Indianapolis Colts were happy to have him back, and they weren’t easing him into things in Week 1 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Instead, they threw him to the fire as Luck threw it 53 times in their first game and managed 319 yards. He had a couple touchdowns and did all he could to help his team win this game, but it just wasn’t meant to be. The Colts fell to 0-1 at the hands of the Bengals, but this wasn’t on Luck.

Instead, there were some familiar issues that popped up. The running game for the Colts was bad — as it has been in recent seasons. They managed only 75 yards on 22 total carries, which left it all on Luck’s shoulders. The defense also struggled as they let Andy Dalton toss it for 243 yards and gave up 95 yards to Joe Mixon on the ground.

There’s a lot to clean up here for the Colts going forward.
