Will Dissly

The rookie tight end came up big for the Seahawks on Sunday. Dissly is generally considered to be a blocking tight end, but he flashed his receiving skills against the Denver Broncos. He only made three catches, but his yardage total was ridiculous.

Dissly finished the game with 105 receiving yards and a touchdown. He lead the team in receiving yards and made the biggest splash out of any players on the offense besides Russell Wilson.

Dissly’s longest of his three massive catches was 66 yards and resulted in his only touchdown on the game. He averaged a total of 35 yards per catch, which will presumably be the highest his career yards per catch mark will ever go. It’s hard to imagine him somehow raising that average next week.

It’s great for the Seahawks to get this kind of production out of Dissly. Most people expected the Washington product to be more of just a blocking tight end. But that clearly doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. It’s unlikely the rookie will be able to continue catching three passes a game for over 100 yards, but if he can contribute consistency to the passing game it will be a huge win for the Seahawks.
