FanDuel NFL Lineup: Building the perfect DFS strategy for Week 2
RB1: Todd Gurley, Los Angeles Rams, $8,900
Average FanDuel Points Per Week:
Opponent: Arizona Cardinals
Considering Jared Goff’s inconsistency in Week 1, the Los Angeles Rams offense is going to run through Todd Gurley moving forward. The All-Pro running back already has a huge game under his belt after punishing the Oakland Raiders on Monday night. It could be even uglier for the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2, a team that seems destined to underwhelm in 2018. Look for a huge outing for Gurley, making his $8,900 price tag worth the risk.
RB2: Dalvin Cook, Minnesota Vikings, $6,500
Average FanDuel Points Per Week: 10.5
Opponent: Green Bay Packers
Realistically, Dalvin Cook had an average Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers. It was clear the defense was honed in on slowing the run game, and succeeded. I have a feeling it’ll be a different story in Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers. Even if the defense manages to corral him on the ground (unlikely), Cook should do enough damage through the air (55 receiving yards in Week 1) to make him well worth the $6,500.
FLEX: Phillip Lindsay, Denver Broncos, $4,900
Average FanDuel Points Per Week: 17.2
Opponent: Oakland Raiders
Here’s your discount of the week. Phillip Lindsay was a revelation in Week 1, going from an undrafted, third-string running back to an impressive fantasy contributor. In his NFL debut, he racked up 17.2 points, making an impact as both a runner and receiver. Even if the Broncos continue to feed Royce Freeman as well, Lindsay’s effectiveness in the passing game makes him an exciting option for daily fantasy.
