After a crazy Week 1 of fantasy football, what players should you target in your first waiver-wire additions of the season?
Now that the NFL season is underway, fantasy football owners have begun the process in what is a long, grueling season in an effort to put their name on whatever coveted trophy their league possesses.
Week 1 brought us many surprises in the fantasy landscape. We saw phenomenal outings from the expected in Alvin Kamara, the understandable in Tyreek Hill, and the unforeseen in Ryan Fitzpatrick. On the other side of the coin, disappointing days from the likes of LeSean McCoy and Devonta Freeman cost many fantasy owners their opening matchups, and perhaps trust moving forward.
Injuries typically add another factor into waiver considerations, and last week was no exception. We saw the departures of Delanie Walker (out for the season, broken ankle) and Doug Baldwin (sprained MCL, length TBD), along with injuries to Leonard Fournette, Greg Olsen and others.
Losing in week one is not the worst thing in the world, as strong waiver grabs early in the season can prove vital to a championship run.
