Wide Receivers

Brandon Marshall, Seattle Seahawks

Looking to replace Doug Baldwin? Stay in Seattle and keep your umbrellas on you. Brandon Marshall added himself to the Seahawks score sheet on Sunday, and with Baldwin out of the picture, Marshall looks to be the go-to guy in red zone scenarios.

I don’t expect Baldwin-esque numbers from Marshall, but should Russell Wilson find himself in situations where the team needs to throw the football (hint: it might be a lot), it’s easy to like Marshall’s touchdown appeal. And, if the Seattle offense ever does find themselves in the red zone, the big veteran offers plenty of upside there with potential targets inside the 20-yard line.

Tedd Ginn Jr., New Orleans Saints

To those wondering, Drew Brees hasn’t lost the step everybody was assuming he would lose in 2018. This news satisfies his receivers, especially the likes of speedster Tedd Ginn Jr. Michael Thomas is undoubtedly the No. 1 guy in New Orleans, yet Ginn’s speed provides Brees and fantasy owners alike the home-run hitting ability every week he’s in the lineup.

Ginn posted five receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown, and should steadily see a healthy dose of targets while playing opposite of Thomas. Ginn is not a WR1 by any means, but a sneaky play at the flex spot could be the difference between a win or loss on your schedule. As long as Brees is still capable of throwing a football, Ginn should retain consideration in all formats.
