22. Marcus Mariota, Tennessee Titans

Even the biggest Marcus Mariota starters have to be losing patience with him. Far too often he comes out and looks flat, which makes the games where he does look good start to feel like flukes. On Sunday, he once again was bad with the ball. Mariota had two turnovers and was just 9-of-16 for 103 yards before once again leaving with an injury.

The turnovers, bad passes, and injuries have been the norm throughout his career and the Titans have to be getting tired of it. With a new head coach in Mike Vrabel, it will be interesting to see how much longer his rope is.

21. Case Keenum, Denver Broncos

The 329 yards was really good — and so was the win. What wasn’t good for Case Keenum in his debut with the Denver Broncos was the three interceptions. He’s supposed to be an upgrade over Trevor Siemian, who really held the Broncos back the past couple seasons. Considering he led the Vikings to a 13-3 record last year, it seemed like he should be a better option for them.

So far, it’s been a bit of a wash. Maybe he’s getting used to his new surroundings, but the picks were ugly — as was most of his play in the preseason. Keenum needs to get better if they want to get back into the AFC West race.
