2. Jason Garrett

For reasons that can’t be explained, Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys continue to believe that Jason Garrett is the right man for the job at head coach, yet he sure doesn’t look like it, and Sunday’s loss to the Panthers is another example as to why. Dallas expected the offense to go through some adjustments this season since Dez Bryant and Jason Witten were no longer part of the picture, but it’s tough to watch the unit struggle when they have one of the league’s most dominant running backs in Ezekiel Elliott.

Struggling to find the end zone was a major issue for Dak Prescott throughout his sophomore campaign, and while the Panthers’ defense certainly deserves credit for holding the Cowboys to just eight point, it still doesn’t help the Dallas quarterback’s case. Moving on from Tony Romo the way they did was a tough decision at the time for the Cowboys, and if things continue to look bad for Prescott, it’s only going to add more of the blame on Garrett.

The pressure was already on Dallas to turn things around this season after missing out on the playoffs last year since they finished with the best record in the NFC during the 2016 season. Against the New York Giants, scoring just eight points simply won’t cut it if the Cowboys are going to have any chance at winning this game.
