Start

Houston Texans at Tennessee – No Marcus Mariota translates to Blaine Gabbert starting in this matchup. The Texans defense will have gone from fighting for scraps against the Patriots to a fully loaded steak dinner in the form of the Titans offense.

To put it nicely, Gabbert is extremely turnover prone, which translates to good fortune for a defense that managed to create turnovers against the great Tom Brady. Frankly put, the Texans defense should be in control of this the whole way home.

New York Giants at Dallas – Against Carolina, the Cowboys offense looked stagnant and predictable. With no true receiving threat, Dak Prescott is nowhere near as effective when compared to previous years. Should the Giants be able to key on Ezekiel Elliot and at the very minimum limit him, New York could find themselves walking out of Jerry World with a win.

Sit

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Kansas City – The status of cornerback Joe Haden remains up in the air for Sunday’s bout against the Chiefs. If Haden, who is suffering from a hamstring injury, is unable to go, the glue to the Steelers secondary will have been removed. Kansas City looks to have one of the best offensive attacks in the league, which could prove to be too much to handle for a defense that still appears to be figuring things out.

Tennessee Titans vs Houston – Last week I pegged the Titans as a starting defense, and boy was I wrong. Moving forward to week two against a Deshaun Watson-led Texans team, this week may not be the week to stream the Titans. Watson looked rusty and out of form against the Patriots, but with another game under his belt and DeAndre Hopkins still on his team, I’ll take my chances and say the Texans will be more than fine offensively.
