Minnesota Vikings: 5 Bold predictions for Week 2 vs. Packers
By Randy Gurzi
The Minnesota Vikings travel to Lambeau Field to play the Green Bay Packers. Here are 5 bold predictions for them in their first road game of the year.
Week 1 brought the Minnesota Vikings a win as they started the defense of their NFC North title from a season ago. Following up on a 13-3 campaign, they defeated the San Francisco 49ers and their high-profile quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to go to 1-0 on the young 2018 season.
Week 2 features another big-name quarterback for them to deal with as Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers host the Vikings. Green Bay enters the week on the heels of a comeback win over the Chicago Bears in their opener on Sunday Night Football, giving them a 1-0 start in the division.
Minnesota has not yet played in the North, but they know this one is huge considering the Packers will be their primary opponent during their attempt at back-to-back division titles. A win this week would give them an early lead.
A loss would sting, but it also wouldn’t be the end of the world as this is just the first of two meetings between these clubs. However, the win would put them atop the division early on and give them a chance to sweep Green Bay two seasons in a row.
We look ahead to the big game with five bold predictions for the Vikings against one of their biggest rivals.
