4. Dalvin Cook tops 150 yards from scrimmage

It wasn’t an ideal to the start of the season on the ground for Dalvin Cook as he had just 40 yards on 16 carries. He ripped off a long of 15 yards, which means on the other 15 attempts he managed just 25 yards. He did end up with close to 100 yards from scrimmage still as the talented back caught six passes (tied with Adam Thielen for a game-high) for 55 yards.

This shouldn’t be alarming though as Cook was playing in just his first regular season game following a torn ACL in his rookie year. It slowed him down on what was a great start to his first NFL season. Look for him to start knocking the rust off soon — as in Week 2.

Green Bay surrendered nearly 5.5 yards per carry to Jordan Howard of the Bears in Week 1. It could have been even more if Chicago had gone to him more as the game wore on. On top of his rushing yardage, Howard added 25 yards receiving.

Cook offers more as a receiver than Howard and the Vikings will have no issues using him in space against the Packers linebackers. Look for him to get the ball a lot os a ball carrier and receiver — in the totaling higher than 150 yards from scrimmage.
