3. Thielen and Diggs each score a touchdown

Part of what makes the Vikings so dangerous is that in addition to their ability to shut opponents down with their defense, they also have some highly explosive weapons on offense. We already looked at running back Dalvin Cook, but they also have Latavius Murray behind him who can carry the load as a runner.

There’s also tight end Kyle Rudolph who is great in the red zone. We can’t forget about Kirk Cousins, the quarterback who was their prized free agent pickup this offseason.

Wlured Cousins though is the two wide receivers they have — those receivers also make up the majority of the explosive abilities of their offense. Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs are a great one-two punch and they’re incredibly hard to stop.

In 2017, Thielen had 1,276 yards off 91 receptions with four touchdowns. Diggs had 64 catches for 849 yards and eight touchdowns for Minnesota. The presence of these two surely played a huge part in Cousins choosing Minnesota this offseason and in Week 1, the bold prediction is each find the end zone off a Cousin’s pass.

Diggs came down with one in the opener, but for Thielen, it will be his first trip to the end zone while working with their new signal-caller. It will continue a good rapport he’s already shown with Cousins as Thielen led the team with 102 yards in Week 1.
